The instrument is sufficiently rigid and consists of stepped slip gauges permanently fixed in inner casing .The Caliper Checker is ideal for in0house periodic calibration of measuring instruments i.e. Venire Caliper and Height Gauge.

The sizes in the set are so selected that they ensure checking of micrometers at various radial positions. Thus in addition to the pitch error, errors due to drunken threads also can be located.
